About The Role

Job Description

You are responsible for the successful sales of BD Biosciences products (flow cytometry analyzer instruments, multi-omics devices and reagents) within the set targets and strategies for your sales territory, expanding the core business and developing new business opportunities in parallel. You will prepare forecasts and continue to be independently responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of appropriate measures and programs to achieve the sales and GP targets in the assigned area of responsibility.

The continuous acquisition, identification as well as support of customers and opinion leaders in hospitals, private laboratories, universities, research institutions, pharma, CRO as well as biotech companies are part of your main tasks. Furthermore, you will take care of the conception and follow-up of offers as well as the processing of tenders.

Furthermore You Are Responsible For
  • the strategic observation of market development and competitive activities
  • the active participation and collaboration in the organization and execution of exhibitions and workshops
  • the close and coordinated cooperation with the application specialists and the scientific support
About You

You have ideally a successfully completed scientific education, preferably in biology, as well as solid practical experience in immunology, cell biology or a similar field.

You convince with at least 2-3 years of sales experience and proven sales success in the clinical and/or life science research market and have ideally market knowledge in the corresponding market segment (customers; associations/organizations, competitors, etc.). Additional theoretical and practical commercial knowledge as well as experience in project management is an advantage.

Further Requirements Are
  • a proactive, independent way of working and the ability to solve problems in a complex work environment
  • excellent knowledge of French and English, ideally as well of German. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage
  • a strong analytical mindset and commercial understanding as well as a structured approach
  • the ability to network and manage relationships as well as emotional intelligence
  • a high level of self-motivation, self-confidence, critical faculties and a positive attitude
  • strong negotiation skills and confident command of current sales techniques in the capital goods and reagents business
  • a proven routine in dealing with modern and common office communication media, PC & EDP programs
  • an existing willingness to travel extensively (70-80%, mainly in territory) as well as strong teamwork skills
