Accounts Payable AccountantOur client is a private company with different sites across Switzerland. The position is based in Geneva.
Job Description
The key responsibilities on this position of an Accounts Payable Accountant will be the following :
- Check, verify and ensure accurate processing of invoices and travel expenses / credit card reports
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Ensure appropriate approval of invoices
- Manage communication with the suppliers and other departments for accounts payable related matters
- Maintain and update the accounts payable database
- Participate to the preparation and the implementation of the new solutions to manage invoices and travel expenses processing
- Participate to payment preparation
- Responsible for payment reconciliation
- Support in the preparation and booking of accruals
- Assist in closing activities
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position of Accounts Payable Accountant
- Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent is required
- Experience to any ERP accounting system and ideally to an application to manage travel expenses / credit card reports, would be a strong asset
- Good knowledge of Swiss GAAP and VAT law is required
- Proactive, rigorous, and collaborative approach with attention to detail
- Ability to handle large volumes of transactions and data
- Fluent in French and English is required
- This position may require some flexibility in working hours as required by business needs (ie - closing periods, audit,…)
