As an Agriculture Sustainability Specialist Data Protocols and Methodologies, you will advise on the development, application and execution of data protocols, methodologies and statistical science research and innovation - in line with the overall Agricultural Sciences strategy.

A Day in the Life of an Agriculture Sustainability Specialist Data Protocols and Methodologies
  • Ensure the development and correct application of data protocols, methodologies and statistics in agricultural systems sciences, to ensure trial design and data collection that provides auditable insights on aspects of regenerative agriculture impacts, and their spatial and temporal variability across the agricultural production system landscape
  • Analyses to inform and influence on diverse issues such as agricultural production, trade-offs among agronomic practices, biodiversity, incentives and barriers to practice change, living wage and social license
  • Prepare research reports and make presentations on findings, including scientific research papers and non-scientific reports
  • Application of appropriate data collection protocols, trial design and subsequent statistical analyses from data sources across the NIAS portfolio
  • Keep up to date with developments in data science methodologies and applied statistics in regenerative agriculture science and related areas
  • Attendance at conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments and to network with people in the profession and in related industries
  • Proposals and bids for new research projects and funding, make presentations, and give seminars
  • Liaison and collaboration with members of the NIAS and other NR institutes
  • Liaise, coordinate and align on Nestlé’s agricultural research projects’ strategy with the project leads on Agricultural R&D and ensure the required reporting
  • Support the implementation of Nestle’s agricultural R&D projects globally and support external trials with farmers, governmental organisations and other partners

What Will Make You Successful
  • Minimum MSc level
  • Statistician or data analyst with global experience in the development and implementation of R&D in agriculture systems or general agriculture.
  • At least ten years’ experience in statistics, data protocol development and agricultural trail design
  • Degree in applied statistics or a related science discipline. Additional experience in the following subjects may increase your chances: agricultural economics, computer sciences
  • Good understanding of the application of statistics, data protocols and trial design in global agricultural systems / regenerative agriculture science issues, proven scientific track record an advantage
  • Experience with partnership and stakeholder interaction
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or French would be a plus
