Your role

Are you looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, interesting and international environment?
If you are familiar with anti-money laundering in the financial sector and if you are interested in making risk decisions in complex situations and under time pressure, you might be our new team member.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • perform controls on PEPs within the framework of the PEP Annual Review as well as on other higher risk clients, and conduct ad-hoc reviews through both manual and electronic means
  • handle the client vetting for sensitive clients
  • assess the risks of banking relationships with politically exposed persons (PEPs) and decide on the application of the PEP definition
  • convey decisions concisely and convincingly
  • carry out AML related investigations
  • provide advice regarding due diligence, KYC standards, internal policies and local regulations
  • identify changes in AML regulations, assess potential impact on existing policies/procedures and implement changes to ensure compliance
  • keep on top of regulatory developments in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities

Your team

You will be working in the AML Due Diligence Officer & Global PEP Unit as specialist for periodic and ad hoc reviews and controls. The team is part of Compliance & Operational Risk Control and is responsible for the due diligence of sensitive clients as well as for the PEP risk management. Your workplace will be in Zurich.

Your expertise

  • a graduate degree in law, economics, history or political science
  • previous experience in compliance, business risk management or audit
  • practical knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements in the area of anti-money laundering
  • well-developed analytical skills
  • able to take structured decisions in an efficient manner, to manage complex cases and to accept being challenged
  • a clear and effective communicator, both verbally and with written reports
  • able to work well with pressure
  • fluent in English; additional languages would be a great asset
