Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate of the highest level of secondary school.
  • Academic grades in the average of 4.5 or higher.
  • Completed Multicheck Junior ICT report.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience and/or interest in coding.
  • Demonstrated logical and abstract thinking.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and interest in learning new skills.

About the job

A professional team of vocational trainers (Berufsbildner) will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google Switzerland GmbH. After a 1-year foundation course (Basislehrjahr) you will join your Google team in Zurich and will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as an Application Developer.

We offer roles in one field of specialization: Computer Scientist/IT Specialist (Informatikerin/Informatiker EFZ), Specialization in Application Development (Fachrichtung Applikationsentwicklung): The development and design of software will be your focus. You will work in different teams such as software development, user experience or security to understand the range of roles in this fast-growing field.
