Essential Job Duties

Remediate vulnerable LAB workstations (Windows and Linux) and systems with Critical, High and Medium vulnerabilities within prescribed timeframes
Implement processes, capabilities and techniques for vulnerability management and remediation
Develop mitigations to reduce the vulnerability risk when it cannot be remediated within the established timeframe
Develops and maintains current operational procedures and user documentation applicable to the supported systems
Monitor and resolve LAB IT related incidents and requests (Low disk space, system backups, agent down, etc.)
Ensure data quality for LAB assets in Asset management systems. Perform physical inventory on regular basis
Support and co-ordinate LAB PC moves

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related engineering/science discipline with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Hands on troubleshooting skills and experience supporting Windows (Win7/Win10), Linux OS, scientific and non-scientific software application and systems
Experience with virtual computing environments, including desktops and Servers preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers and technical personnel across departments and organizations
The candidate must also have the ability to present technical and operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word, solve complex technical problems, and be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems
