Based on our understanding of cancer at the molecular, cellular and organismal levels, Translational Clinical Oncology (TCO) will design and execute innovative exploratory clinical trials in order to develop the next generation of highly effective therapeutics that transform the lives of patients with cancer.

As Associate Director Global Program Management you provide program management leadership and support at leader level to complex TCO programs including external partners. In close partnership with the Clinical Project Leaders (CPLs) of the programs, you drive the process of developing and executing the integrated strategic and operational plans for global drug development programs.

Your accountability on program and project level will include, but is not limited to:
  • Facilitate the program strategy and timelines together with the global early program team (EPT)
  • Ensuring realistic forecasts and timely flagging of forecast variations with rationale for timelines and budget
  • Advancement of assigned program
  • Scenario planning with clearly defined decision points
  • Risk mitigation
  • Providing scientific and drug development expertise
  • Navigate the decision making process within the organization
  • Ensure effective and efficient communication within and outside of the team.
With the role we associate high level expectations around Drug Development, PM Leadership, Project Management Skills, Information/Communication Management, Strategic Disease Area Expertise.

You will impact the organization by:
  • Facilitating program team’s strategy, operational excellence with a focus on quality, accuracy in building and maintaining integrated program plans and resource forecasts
  • Clearly understanding the entire Drug Development processes and applied these processes also involving key partners
  • Participating in non-program related activities, initiatives and interfaces.
  • Facilitating team interaction and team building towards a high performance teams
  • Strengthening the collaboration with GDD to foster timely transition of programs

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Previous track record of success in working with international and multidisciplinary drug development teams5+ years pharma industry experience
  • 5+ years of equivalent multi-/cross-functional leadership experience
  • Excellent project / program management skills
  • Expert knowledge in oncology research or drug development (including early and late stage development)
