Set to be a huge success, overlooking the city center from Zurich’s stunning Uetliberg plateau, this property is home to 87 suites and rooms as well as 7 award-winning and new culinary concepts centered around FIVE’s hallmark musical stylings. The new FIVE hotel in Zurich seamlessly unites the very best of Swiss hospitality with FIVE’s characteristic flair for exceptionally indulgent experiences for guests from the city and international visitors alike

As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will join a committed finance team driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ guest experiences to an international diaspora.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push groundbreaking boundaries.

You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.


  • Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports
  • Work with the Finance Director/General Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel
  • Prepare capital reviews as required by the General Manager and/or Finance Departments
  • Develop best practice for financial accounting and control procedures along with constantly reviewing the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency
  • Ensure the balance sheets are a fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the hotels
  • Lead monthly finance update meetings with General Manager/Hotel team
  • Comply with FIVE policies and procedures across the area, maximizing performance on the Finance Balanced Scorecard
  • Review the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed
  • Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations

  • Hands-on approach with a ‘can-do!’ work attitude
  • Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned
  • Relevant degree, in Finance or related business discipline, from an academic institution or a professional qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational star class property
  • Experience working with different business stakeholders across multiple functions in a very dynamic environment.
  • Positive, proactive outlook, hardworking and outgoing personality - and a fun-to-work-with energy at all times!
  • Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
  • Very good communication skills in English & German
  • Ability to be proactive and find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned by adjusting job scope as required
