Assistant Restaurant Manager (m/w/d)

The legendary Hotel Palace Luzern first opened in 1906 and is in the city on the shores of Lake Lucerne. After a complete renovation, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern reopened its doors in September 2022. It comprises 136 rooms and suites offering excellent views over the lake and mountains. Three restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room roundup our offer for our Guests.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager you are responsible for the following duties:

• Representing and supporting the Restaurant Manager in the service area
• Leading your own team and ensuring smooth and guest-oriented work processes in the restaurant in close cooperation with all departments of the house
• Feedback and training of your team
• Professional advice and customer care for our guests
• Excellent product and sales knowledge
• Complying with and ensuring our high standards of service
• Communicating current offers in the department and throughout the house
• Responsible for the correct accounting of your department
• Responsible for complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines
• Projects and tasks management

As Assistant Restaurant Manager we expect from you:

• Completed vocational training in the upscale hotel or catering industry. At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit
• Written and verbal communication skills - guests will come to you with both complaints and positive feedback
• Leadership, organizational skills and the ability to lead a team of employees from different cultures with sensitivity and discipline
• High quality awareness and a sense for trends
• Good IT skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageous
• Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
• Flexibility and resilience - your position will include night, weekend and holiday shifts
• Very good knowledge of German and English, additional foreign language skills are an advantage

Als Assistant Restaurant Manager sind Sie für folgendeAufgabenverantwortlich:

• Direkte Vertretung und Unterstützung des Restaurant Managers
• Führung Ihres eigenen Teams sowie von reibungslosen und gastorientierten Arbeitsabläufe im Restaurant sowie in enger Zusammenarbeit mit allen Abteilungen des Hauses
• Feedback und Training Ihres Teams
• Fachgerechte Beratung und Betreuung unserer Gäste
• Einhaltung und Sicherstellung unserer hohen Standards im Service
• Vermittlung aktueller Angebote in der Abteilung und im gesamten Haus
• Verantwortlich für die korrekte Abrechnung Ihres Bereiches
• Verantwortlich für die Einhaltung der Hygienevorschriften und der Sauberkeit im Rahmen der HACCP-Richtlinien
• Übernahme von Projekten und administrativen Aufgaben

Als Assistant Restaurant Manager erwartenwir von Ihnen:

• Eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der gehobenen Hotellerie oder Gastronomie. Mindestens 2 Jahre Berufserfahrungen in einer vergleichbaren Position
• Ausdrucksfähigkeit, Aufgeschlossenheit sowie Teamfähigkeit
• Kommunikative Fähigkeiten – die Gäste werden sich sowohl mit Beschwerden als auch positivem Feedback an Sie wenden
• Führungsstark - Organisationstalent und die Fähigkeit ein Team von Mitarbeitenden verschiedenster Kulturkreise einfühlsam und mit Disziplin zu führen
• Hohes Qualitätsbewusstsein und ein Gespür für Trends
• Gute EDV-Kenntnisse, von Vorteil sind Kenntnisse mit dem Kassensystem Infrasys und dem Buchingsystem SevenRooms
• Exzellente Umgangsformen und gepflegtes Äusseres sowie eine positive Ausstrahlung
• Flexibilität und Belastbarkeit– zu Ihrer Position gehören Wochenend- und Feiertagsschichten
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, weitere Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind von Vorteil
• Hervorragende Produkt- und Verkaufskenntnisse
