As a successful applicant, you will join our R&D Innovation in Analytical Chemistry department in Geneva . Focusing on Flavors & Fragrances innovative delivery systems , you will be involved in all practical and organizational aspects of a research team, as well as in the development and application of new analytical methods and strategies, from sample preparation to data processing.

Key Responsibilities:
Apply state-of-the-art analytical methods (GC-MS, LC-MS and solid-state NMR) and explore advanced technologies to support laboratory heads in delivery systems related scientific projects
Plan, prioritize, automate and execute experiments to build knowledge and answer analytical questions with the ability to take initiatives , document the knowledge gained
Work with NMR and LC/GC-MS specific analytical databases and interpretation programs
Deliver reliable results on time
Identify technical problems and actively propose solutions
Report work progress in a laboratory notebook, technical reports and during project review meetings
Participate in the maintenance of the laboratory and the instruments

We value:
BA or MA in Chemistry or CFC with at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the Flavors & Fragrances/pharmaceutical industry
Solid theoretical background in separation science (GC, HPLC) and NMR spectroscopy
Expertise in sample preparation, ideally for solid-state NMR and separation science, good knowledge of chemical structures and stereochemistry
Experience in fields such as organic molecules and polymer characterization. Experience in (polymer) synthesis would be a plus
Creativity , open-mindedness, team spirit, excellent communication skills and problem solver attitude, capability to work in an international environment
Good knowledge of English and French (oral and written) is mandatory
