Joining the Life Sciences Practice at CRA as an Associate/Consulting Associate will provide you with a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge of healthcare globally. Responsibilities

  • Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver strategy consulting projects that address specific client needs
  • Conducting independent research to identify, collect, manage and analyze data
  • Contributing or conducting internal and external discussions that build insights from the analytical process and integrating findings into broader project deliverables
  • Conducting telephone or face-to-face interviews with clients or external stakeholders
  • Assuming responsibility to generating sections of client reports, presentations and other client deliverables (e.g. Microsoft Excel workbooks)
  • Proactively developing your knowledge of the life sciences industry as well as consulting methodologies
  • Contributing to initiatives which improve workplace dynamics and day-to-day project delivery
  • Thought leadership in generating insights for client deliverables
  • Significant role in managing workstreams
  • Some travel is inevitable and successful candidates will need to show a willingness and ability to travel to client locations when required

Experience and Skills

  • A demonstrated interest in strategy consulting and the life sciences industry
  • General understanding of business processes
  • Core analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of data visualization (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau), programming for data science (e.g. Python, R), Statistics and/or machine learning (especially natural language processing) would be a plus
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
  • Ability to conduct secondary research independently, familiarity with common industry databases (e.g. clinicaltrials.gov, EvaluatePharma, etc.) and primary market research is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral business English – additional language skills appreciated
  • Proactivity, eye for detail and self-motivation to deliver high quality work on time
  • Some knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques ideal but not required

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will need to have an outstanding academic degree (Master’s or PhD) from a top-tier University in life or natural sciences, engineering, a medical subject or economics
  • Professional experience in the life sciences industry and/or consulting
  • The role (Associate or Consulting Associate) will be determined throughout the interview process and depend on the level of education and transferable experience
