What you’ll do

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to strengthen our digital propositions solutions offered to customers in Wealth Chief Digital and Information Office.

You’ll help the team manage the life cycle of our customer-facing investments platform, reviewing backlogs with the product teams and finding technical solutions for their stories.

You’ll have, or develop, a good understanding of IT processes and how they can be optimised.

Supporting in delivery high quality solutions using unit testing, integration testing and functional testing are also important facets of this role.

You’ll also be:

• Help to ensure system adherence to architecture principles of the Bank

• Ensuring Avaloq foundation used by the customer-facing investment platform operates efficiently

• Analysis to solve and prevent technical issues

• Providing testing support during all release cycles

• Automation of various health checks to ensure smooth working Dev/Test environments

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for a technically skilled and innovative professional with a degree in computer science/engineering, business or finance. To be successful in this role you’ll need to have proven technical background and strong know-how within Avaloq Core-Banking system. Your basic know-how in web technologies like Java or API solution is of a big benefit for this role.

Candidates are also expected to have experience working in an agile and multidisciplinary team and be able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple locations, including London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Zurich.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Good programming skills are desired: PL/SQL and/or Avaloq Scripting

• Analytical, structured and efficient ways of working, the ability to coordinate between teams

• Very good command of English and excellent communication skills
