Business Development Manager Trauma & Extremities

Position Overview

The Business development manager identifies, qualifies, and cultivates sales opportunities in the field of Trauma & Extremities. They effectively executes the Trauma company strategy and transfers it successfully into sales growth, maintaining existing business and leveraging it into new business opportunities and acting as an active pivot person between strategy creation and execution through building strong relationships with Swiss KOLs, other decision makers and internal stakeholders. Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Builds and manages the funnel of Trauma solutions with all needed stakeholders to ensure annual targets are met or exceeded
  • Strategically approaches new business opportunities in the field of Trauma including J&J Services & Solutions offering to shape the market in close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Leads strategically important projects and acts as pivot person in the planning and execution phase
  • Builds and cultivates meaningful relationships with Swiss KOLs, decision makers and other external partners to shape potential new business areas
  • Builds and cultivates internal and external partnerships across the entire country
  • Serves as an expert resource and role model supporting the sales regions, new processes, and technologies by showing creativity and out of the box thinking
  • Effectively collaborates with marketing, sales management, and strategic account management to drive new sales opportunities
  • Transfers new technologies into value-based health care opportunities with customers and in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Closely collaborates with the marketing department to sharpen the market view and shape effective launch plans
  • Supports sales personnel training by sharing expertise to drive strategy execution, acts as a role model and with a winning mindset around new solutions within the Trauma Sales Organization
  • Attends sales meetings and industry trade shows to promote and support the visibility around the company’s solutions

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates deep product knowledge in the field of Trauma, ideally already knowing the DPS Trauma portfolio
  • Brings 5+ years of experience in the field of Trauma Sales, experience in marketing is seen as a benefit
  • Has a strong external network and knowledge about the Swiss Trauma and Orthopaedic market
  • Has demonstrated the ability to interact meaningfully and successfully with surgeons and other decision makers
  • Has demonstrated the ability to translate the clinical product benefits into economic value to health care providers
  • Has demonstrated to have strong negotiation skills and is comfortable with finance based selling tools
  • Has demonstrated strong skills in a matrix environment and has a convincing, winning attitude
  • Language Skills: German & English (fluent), French & Italian are beneficial
