As Bid Manager you lead and manage the Bid-project team and provide leadership and direction for projects in the quotation phase. You elaborate “Winning Proposals” for large-, highly complex- or X-BU projects in close collaboration with our sales- and business Manager. You are in charge to deliver the required quotation services within the given time and required quality, while ensuring compliance with Bühler related directives and EHS standards. Interested? Tasks
  • Prepare quotations for complex and challenging customer projects
  • Single point of contact for sales and all parties involved in the bid process
  • Elaborate technical and commercial analysis in alignment with the sales manager
  • Develop technical concepts in collaboration with sales, technology, engineering, and commercial services
  • Present offers and technical concept to customers
  • Ensure compliance of agreed fix points/delivery dates within the projects
  • Manage allocated scope of work to achieve quotation goals and objectives
  • Support and advise quotation engineers in all technical belongings
  • Technical support of subcontracts like M&E contracts or third-party suppliers
  • Discuss and agree technical solutions during customer negotiations
  • Collaborate with and support of regional quotation teams
  • Prepare layouts, project schedules, DOW (Division of Work), price comparison (waterfall diagram), price summaries etc.

Required Qualifications
  • Higher technical education; Professional School / Technical College
  • Proof of sufficient skills as Senior Quotation Engineer; minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong judgment and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Profound Project Management knowledge with the ability to plan and organize multiple projects at the same time
  • Proven leadership skills; leading in a matrix organization
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a strong customer focus
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients, sales, suppliers, and contractors
  • Work internationally with the willingness to travel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; English level CAE
  • High service quality for internal and external customers
  • Technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry and business knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of Bühler Plant principles and complex projects experience
  • CAD (AutoCAD 3-D) basic knowledge
