As we further our mission to democratize data-driven medicine worldwide, we are looking for a Bioinformatician / Technical Product Manager to join our growing Pipeline Development team in Rolle, Switzerland.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating, optimizing, and maintaining analysis pipelines for detection of genomic alterations
  • Performing exploratory analyses to assess and improve the analytical and technical performance of our pipelines.
  • Driving projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the team development activities by optimizing the existing processes or establishing new ones
  • Working closely with the quality assurance and engineering teams to guarantee that new processes are compatible with the clinical and technical requirements of our products
  • Leading the efforts of the team aimed at documenting the architecture of our pipelines
  • Acting as main point of contact between our team and the engineering teams for the monitoring and optimization of the technical performance of our pipelines

Requirements

  • PhD or PostDoc experience in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis
  • Capacity to combine leadership, autonomy, creativity and good communication skills in order to solve problems and coordinate the execution of a project with input from different parties
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Fluency in bash, R and Python
  • Proven track record of working with high performance computing clusters, bioinformatic analysis pipelines, version control systems, and parallel computing
  • Solid knowledge of best practices for software development and testing
  • Experience in variant calling and human genomics/genetics is desirable but not mandatory
