We do this today to build a better tomorrow.The positionThe position is based in the Biomarker and Translational Technology (BTT) group of the Neuroscience and Rare Diseases (NRD) department in Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) in Basel, Switzerland. The BTT group utilizes state-of-the-art methods (including digital biomarkers, MRI and PET imaging, EEG, PSG, fluid biomarkers, genetics and novel neurocognitive tasks) and analytical approaches to support decision-making in drug development.We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, collaborative and innovative colleague to expand our team. You should have a proven track-record in human imaging or EEG/MEG with an emphasis on machine learning and advanced analytical methods. Experience with pharmacology and neuropsychiatric or neurological disorders is a plus.In this role:You should bring a positive, creative and solution-seeking mindset and will proactively contribute to interdisciplinary project teamsYou will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a strategy for advanced analysis of EEG data at large-scale to support the Roche neuroscience portfolioYou will develop and implement cutting-edge biomarker strategies in NRD-specific therapeutic areas to support the profiling of novel compounds, selection of clinical trial populations, the prediction of outcomes and characterization of the effects of treatment on diseaseYour activities will include the preparation of study documentation including study protocols, study reports or regulatory files, ongoing monitoring of biomarker activities and studies, coordination of data collection, analysis, and interpretation as well as preparation and presentation of results for informed decision-makingYou will collaborate with internal experts, leading academics, and external industry-based authorities and providers regarding experimental medicine and translational medicine studiesYou will stay at the forefront of scientific and technical excellence by collaborating with the scientific community, contributing to publishing high-quality scientific articles and participating in key conferencesAre you interested? We are looking for the following qualifications:A PhD in neuroscience or a related discipline, with (2 years of postdoctoral experienceExcellent methodological and quantitative skills (advanced data analysis, machine learning, programming, statistics)Mastering of one (preferably EEG or MEG) and a good understanding of other neuroimaging techniquesExperience in designing experiments or clinical trialsA good understanding of neuroscience and neurobiology that complements the quantitative skills and allows you to independently decide on appropriate analytical and experimental approaches, and interpretation of resultsTrack-record of impactful scientific researchExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishAre you ready to apply?
