Your ’day to day’

As Blender/ Senior Blender, you will utilize blending knowledge to develop new or modify existing blends and troubleshoot issues in this area.

More specifically, you will
  • Develop or modify tobacco blends to be used in our growing portfolio of RRPs (Reduced Risk Products) for markets worldwide.
  • Conduct studies that will contribute to the development of new product blends systems from laboratory tests to industrial production.
  • Coordinate/Prepare samples and prototypes for evaluation and submit them for appropriate analytical and subjective testing.
  • Participate and coordinate subjective sensory evaluations for the purpose of developing new or modifying existing blends.
  • Collect, review and analyze analytical and subjective results in order to propose appropriate action plans for the next step of the project.
  • Control product specs adherence to appropriate regulations, guidelines and quality standards.
  • Produce product specification documents and control that product quality is compliant with specifications and prepare reports for communication.
  • Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure business continuity of blends all along product lifecycle.
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, Food Technology or related scientific field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in developing blends in tobacco, food, beverages or related fields.
  • Proven experience in Sensory and Product evaluation, including expert ability to craft and adjust blend formulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on product development projects using Design Control Methodologies and project management skills to handle multiple assignments simultaneously within cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral)
  • This job requires tasting and profiling the tobacco blend in the finished products and therefore is intended only for individuals who are smokers and/or users of smoke-free products, e-cigarettes, or other smokeless tobacco products.
