The impact you can have

SonarSource is looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to contribute to the success of its digitalization programs. The BA works closely with the Business Project Manager, business stakeholders, teams and users to develop business and functional requirements for digital solutions.

The BA leads the gathering and translation of business requirements into technical specifications that agile development teams can implement. The BA also conveys technical questions to the Product Owner, facilitating prioritization, fast decision-making and deliveries.

The BA is also involved in introducing digital solutions to users, gathering and analyzing feedback for continuous improvements of solutions. In this respect the BA acts as a knowledge integrator and change agent.

This role provides a great opportunity to work within a very international team, offering a variety of work, exposure to different business problems and access to top management. As SonarSource is expanding and growing at a fast pace, the successful candidate will integrate a dynamic and agile Business Project Team to create true business impacts.

On a daily basis, you will
  • Lead the gathering and specification of business requirements through a variety of techniques and methods, including interviews, workshops, prototypes
  • Conduct current and future state analysis and document functional and non-functional business requirements, constraints and dependencies, using agreed tools
  • Describe business rules and scenarios to help teams design, develop and test the solutions
  • Set business acceptance criteria that help reach business objectives, technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  • Assist with building and executing test cases
  • Participate in backlog prioritization to ensure the most valuable aspects of the solutions are developed and delivered in time
  • Research and monitor functionality and industry developments to identify and recommend new solutions
  • Support Business Project Managers in project planning, development, communication, analysis and reporting
  • Support solutions go-live and roll-out to users

The skills you will demonstrate
  • 5-8 years experience in digitalisation of internal workflow for a fast-growing business
  • Experience working within international, cross-functional, agile and complex digital projects
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Masters qualitative methods
  • English is the only working language
  • Service/UX Design experience and exposure to high growth software business is a plus
  • Team player and strong relator
  • Positive attitude towards change
