As a trusted and empowered member of the FP&A Business Analytics team, support partnerships with ABB Business Areas and Divisions, and develop a wide range of analytics solutions using visualization and analytics to provide data driven insights for decision making.

Initially, you will be part of a Global Pricing Analytics project for one of ABB Business Areas. The Pricing Analytics team has grown over the years and we are currently looking for an experienced individual that will help us deal with increasing demand of our data products and widen the scope of the analytics we provide.

Your responsibilities
  • Build a data structure and reporting process by working through various business parameters, which establish truth in data.
  • Create a road map of the most challenging business questions from divisional business process owners, finance managers and senior leadership, and use data to articulate possible root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Co-create with other Business Analytics Team members and machine learning experts, to design and run experiments, research new algorithms, and find new ways to improve business analytics and drive growth of a more data and analytic culture.
  • Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders. Leverage data to increase the efficiency by working closely with the business teams to drive optimization.
  • Design and conduct experiments (using Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation etc.) on the effectiveness and efficiency of different initiatives to improve key output metrics and help shape the long-term strategy.
  • Create new business analytics that help drive business conclusions, continually improving reporting and analysis processes. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting, analysis, and research (data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation)
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing analyses, and dashboards to help determine key business conclusions.
Your background
  • Strong command over analytics tools like SQL, Alteryx, Tableau and certified Tableau and Alteryx user (e.g. Tableau certified data analyst and Alteryx designer Advanced/ core certification required)
  • Good understanding of business processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven Business Domain knowledge in at least one area: Margin Analysis, Service, Marketing and Sales, Forensics, Accounting etc.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analyst role.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in English
  • Sound knowledge of SAP data structures and configuration would be an advantage.
  • Consistent track record of excellent performance.
  • Strong teamwork and critical thinking skills.
