We are looking for a Business Development Manager Biomaterials (60-100%) for DePuy Synthes Spine:

Reporting to the Marketing Lead Spine Switzerland, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of specific customer development plans by providing full clinical and commercial support for product and service portfolios.

The role requires collaboration and leadership in several areas of the sales, marketing and project management including end-to-end implementation of key projects, business development in high potential accounts, KOL engagement, customer segmentation, targeting and, positioning, new product introductions, supply chain management, and monitoring competitive and sales dynamics.

Your Key Tasks Include
  • Identify new business opportunities and sales leads for the assigned product & service lines.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of the needs and objectives of customers on all levels- both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, to develop tailored solutions which, maximize sales and sales potential.
  • Pitch assigned product & service lines to all relevant stakeholders in the buying cycle.
  • Support sales team and customers during new product introductions through first class clinical support and tailored training offering.
  • Collaborate across business units and with other functions including Key Account Management, Sales Consultants, Clinical Support Specialists and Sales Managers to drive execution and deliver on objectives.
  • Manage assigned product & service portfolio and be accountable for achievement of business goals.
  • Collaborate with Local & Regional Marketing Offices to implement and execute marketing plans and strategies related to the product and service portfolios.
  • Prepare and implement annual marketing plans where required, for assigned product & service lines to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Provide ongoing market analysis and conduct product line performance analysis for existing brands and new products to actively manage the product life cycle.
  • Identify industry trends and relevant competitive information, implement and maintain a deep knowledge of competitor’s products and strategies in the local market.

Qualifications

Requirements and qualifications:
  • University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of healthcare Sales and/or Marketing/Product Management OR experience with biomaterials
  • Languages: German & English fluent (in addition French highly preferred)
  • Ability to work in matrix environments
  • Ability to rapidly gain trust and to interact and collaborate with people effectively
  • Ability to positively influence thinking, behavior and gain commitment
  • Be creative, proactive and resourceful, maintain accountability for his/her actions and make good judgment in the performance of his/her duties
  • Demonstrate good leadership and project management skills as well as a sense of entrepreneurship
  • Demonstrate strategic capabilities and problem-solving skills
  • The ideal candidate will need to be able to evolve in an environment with various degrees of complexity and ambiguity
  • Good presentation skills required
  • Secure handling of the MS Office package
  • Trained to apply advanced Microsoft package skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Clean driving license
