Business Development Manager Water Quality 80-100% Your Profile- A successful university degree in natural sciences or engineering
- Experience in international business development, product management, sales or product development
- Experience in water quality products or in aquatic research is an advantage
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen
- Strong communication skills, confident manner, and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
Your Responsibilities Working at Sensirion allows you to tackle an array of exciting challenges every day. Set new standards in the field of sensor technology as part of a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. In this role you will focus on new technologies to build a water quality sensor portfolio. Your future colleague, Lucas (Product Director Liquid Flow), tells you below what to expect.
What are the specific tasks? As part of the product management team, you are developing innovative product ideas based on new or existing technologies, to expand Sensirion’s offering in environmental sensors to water quality. To achieve this, you will work very closely with colleagues from Sales, Research & Development and Product Management. Direct exchange with existing or potential customers, our global sales force, in trade shows or congresses allows you identify customer needs and weigh-in market trends. Developing and presenting the business case and drive the decision for new product lines is the quest.
What are the daily challenges? As Commercial Lead, you develop understanding of the market and resulting sensing challenges to pursue innovative solutions. Your technical background is your key to understand the sensing problem as wells as the language to communicate with engineering teams on customer and Sensirion side. To maintain sustainable growth, long-term and strategic view is key to assess tomorrow’s market needs and identify appropriate solutions. You build scenarios that lie 2-5 years in the future. Making these scenarios become projects and finally products is both challenging and rewarding.
