ABOUT THE ROLE:
Drives implementation of the Global Engineering (GE) “One Takeda Engineering” transformation program that contributes towards improving operational efficiency and customer experience
Facilitates and guides the application of business excellence tools, methods and frameworks to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the Engineering network inline with the “One Takeda Engineering” program.
Ensures implementation of an impact tracking processes in the network as part of “One Takeda Engineering”.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Co-leads the Transformation Program “One Takeda Engineering”, which harmonizes, modernizes and optimizes the Target Operating Model for Engineering across the GMS Network
Ensures that the new Target Operating Model (TOM) is designed and embedded on time in the network, including tracking of impact and benefits. The TOM is defining the organizational design based on roles and capabilities needed to deliver key services by site Engineering
Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguishes business requests from the underlying true needs.
Implements an Engineering capability building framework across the network: coordinate with stakeholders, build a repository of materials and a process to improve and keep materials up-to-date, coordinate training, include content for new skills (e.g., digital) and partner with other functions to realize this
Guides site stakeholders and functional teams to enhance capabilities, adopt and embed new ways of working, and ultimately changing outcomes to deliver more value for our teams and our clients across the full project lifecycle of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning services as well as the support functions across our global office network.
Removes barriers to change and influences others to see the benefits of newly implemented processes or technology
Supports the site Engineering Heads and teams in the execution of operational excellence initiatives or best practices
Collaborates with all relevant stakeholders to continuously improve the OTE design, implementation approach, playbook and other supporting documents
Stimulates and promotes knowledge sharing and best practice across Engineering function as well as cross-functions.
Fosters and contributes to lean/agile communities of practice, including coaching our network to embed agile mindset & behaviors in the Engineering organization.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
Experience, background, and understanding of management of Engineering activities and CAPEX projects in Pharma

Complexity
Learns fast to ensure a deep understanding of the manufacturing network (30 sites plus above site functions in multiple locations), and the product portfolio is required to work effectively with GMS/GQ leaders, Engineering colleagues and other key stakeholder functions.
Makes decisions in alignment with Head of Business Excellence Global Engineering.
WHAT YOU BRING TO TAKEDA:
Education / Experience:
Essential:
Degree in Science, Engineering, Business and/or Organizational Behaviors (Dipl. Ing./M.Sc./B.Sc.) or equivalent
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
Proven track record in manufacturing and operations excellence is a must
Experience in international environment and proven management of people, process and systems
Lean and AGILE: Certified Lean/Six Sigma/AGILE practitioner preferred
Languages: Fluent English, both spoken and written; others helpful
