As Business Units and Portfolio’s Strategies Director, you will represent the Business Unit’s strategic initiatives and in SITA Group wide initiatives. The strategic outputs include but are not limited to annual plans, 3-5 years plans, strategic growth plans, and plans related to specific product line initiatives. The job holder will also act as a mentor to the wider team in terms of educating and driving strategy best practice into day-to-day activities.SITA at Airports Business Unit brings in excess of $600m of annual revenue. This role will develop, own, and manage the strategies designed to enable the Airports BU to achieve its growth objectives. You will also be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management of the Consulting practice, achieving the strategic, financial and client satisfaction objectives set for the function.The world is changing. • Manage the development of annual plus 3-5 years strategy and transformation plans for the Airports BU as a whole
• Collaborate with wider team to conduct marker research, perform analysis of competitors and identifying opportunities as well as keeping updated with technology and customer behaviours
• Support communication of the corporate’s and Airport BU’s strategy, building core documents and analyses and engaging the company in understanding where we are headed and why
• Acting as the interface for portfolio strategy between the three other Business Units’ Strategy peers (i.e., CD&E, SFA, and Borders) and VP Strategy and Innovation to ensure a coordinate approach to developing the overall SITA’s strategy
• Drive the strategy and transformation agenda across Airports BU from inception to execution.
• Drive and manage the implementation of the strategy in collaboration with management team of Airport BU
• Implement new ways of doing things to orchestrate major change towards new revenue streams and business models
• Lead the development and execution of a strategy for the Consulting function in line with SITA’s strategy
• Develop the consulting portfolio with an industry best practice methodology, a rigorous and structured approach to identify and solve client business problems; effective selection and management of third party suppliers and partners, and pull-through generation for SITA products and service

People Management

• Act as mentor to selected individuals within the Airports BU in order to continuously improve the ability of the team understand key strategy development processes and associated skills required to produce relevant outputs
• Supervise as required virtual teams brought together from within Airports BU or wider SITA to produce specific portfolio strategy requirements

Who You Are

• Min. 10+ years of professional experience, combination of management consulting or corporate line functions in corporate strategy, strategic planning, program delivery and complex technology transformations with a minimum of five years’ experience in a leadership role
• Experience in working with and for airports, airlines, research institutions or businesses that provide information and technology services
• Track records in complex consulting engagement, and leading a team of skilled professionals
• MBA/Accreditation or equivalent
• Solid Air Transport Industry (airport and/or airline) experience is a must
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with leadership experience and track record of managing high performing teams and developing talent
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem solving and resourcefulness with a full understanding of corporate and functional strategies across the Group (technology, commercial, finance, HR, etc.)
• Strong background of working in and leading cross-functional teams at all levels of seniority
• Strong oral and written communication with an excellent ability to crystalize messages for executives, including the ability to anticipate conflict and resolve pending issues
• High attention to detail as well as big picture, strategic thinking. Serve as a strategic expert for the Airports BU
• Ability to drive workshop facilitation, thought leadership, recommendations and presentation skills to board level
• Strong managerial skills with ability to direct and inspire team to elevate performance.
• Capability to lead and influence virtual teams within an international environment
