Direct Buyer (M/F)

With the major mission to supply (in terms of quantity, lead time and quality) our production lines in order to satisfy our commercial needs at the best cost, the purchasing department collaborates closely with our internal production facilities and a various external supplier panel (local and international) based on long-term partnership relationships.

This department manages existing components with a continuous procurement flow, but also new products launch or special editions, which are followed closely and jointly with the other internal departments (quality, development and product) and with the external stakeholders (suppliers and sub-contractors).

Main responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Purchasing Manager, you participate to the definition of the purchasing strategy, and its implementation, for the scope of components (watch parts) you are responsible for.

You are responsible for the target prices achievement, in respect of the quality and lead-time criteria. You are thus in charge of the choice of the partners and of the adequacy of the supplier panel with the strategic interest of the brand. In this specific and complex area (products, suppliers, internal facilities), you anticipate the future issues and you are able to place a business frame to secure the procurements and to adjust very quickly to the commercial forecasts. With these inputs, you manage and support the supplier panel evolution.

Privileged interface for the whole suppliers and internal stakeholders (development, quality, production, supply chain and internal control), your excellent comprehension of the technical and human issues allow you to find the best compromise. Clever negotiator, you know how to conciliate the short terms tactical issues and the mid-terms strategical interests.

You manage all the necessary analysis relative to your purchasing perimeter, i.e. risk and cost analysis, savings, TCO and ROI for different projects.

Your strength of proposal will allow you to elaborate and adjust relevant KPIs, essential to drive the activity. You finally lead continuous improvement projects, with internal or external stakeholders.

Your profile:

You hold a Purchasing Master with proven experience in a micromechanical or luxury sector or graduated from an engineering school with a 2/3 years’ experience in a purchasing function.

You perfectly master the standard office tools, especially Excel, and you have a solid knowledge of integrated management systems like SAP. You speak French and English fluently.

Recognized for your negotiating skills and your ethics, you defend the interests of the company while striving to create and maintain long-term partnerships.

Your human qualities naturally push you to create contact and work easily with transverse or multidisciplinary teams that you know how to drive to make them adhere to your issues.

With a strong sense of analysis and anticipation, you are rigorous, organized and demanding on the performances commitments and you can calmly cope with unforeseen situations.
