Your role
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Crime Prevention officer to help:
- ensure financial crime and conduct risk controls are appropriately owned, robust and applied across both 1st and 2nd line of defence, and that policies and procedures reflect regulatory requirements and industry best practice in alignment with the firm wide FCP framework
- advise senior management, the business, and other key stakeholders on risk identification, mitigation, all necessary financial crime prevention measures and associated conduct & culture enhancement measures, ranging from individual specific situations to broader strategic projects
- escalate suspicious activity and relevant violations to senior management and where applicable law enforcement, and provide MI to support decision making in a timely manner
- further enhance our assurance capabilities such as front to back controls testing, data analytics, and thematic reviews
- focus on lessons learnt to enhance a thorough assessment and read across on material financial crime issues, conducting root cause analysis and identifying areas of remediation from AM perspective
- deliver strategic roadmap in alignment with both the C&ORC AM and global FCP vision and strategy
- provide financial crime prevention training to AM business as well as C&ORC AM teams
- be considered a trusted partner of the business whilst delivering effective independent challenge

Your expertise
- at least 5 years of work experience in compliance, legal and operational risk management with a focus on financial crime prevention in the asset management industry
- effective communication skills, both written and spoken English
- structured, analytical approach coupled with proven capability to think laterally and understand, both the big picture and underlying details
- willingness to work in a hands-on manner, to understand and adapt to changes positively
- demonstrated experience of collaborating in matrix environments, driving consensus and challenging constructively
- able to manage and drive multiple and complex projects at any given time
- adept at maintaining strong strategic relationships with senior stakeholders
- proven capability to act as a trusted adviser, whilst retaining strong independence in terms of assessment and challenge
