C++ Software Development Internship

Our software team works on a multitude of challenging and interesting tasks, such as implementing drivers for the proprietary embedded platform, defining robust and efficient communication protocols, designing algorithms to retrieve, process, and analyze a significant amount of data, and implementing graphical user interfaces.

The software team is currently re-architecting the software system for industrial facilities in order to make it more cloud-centric, so it is a great time to join the team as the internship will expose you to the early phases of a new architecture and your contributions will have a significant impact. The internship will be focusing on the central navigation logic for the fleet of drones, responsible for coordinating the fleet of drones in order to collect insights that are valuable for our clients. A few typical responsibilities of this logic are planning flights and optimizing the distribution of the work to the drones. It will expose you to interesting and challenging problems and give you a very good overview of the workings of our drone system.

Our paid Internships may begin at any time during the year. Interns are expected to join the team for a minimum of six months.

What you’ll do

• Design and development of algorithms and communication protocols for coordinating a drone fleet
• Ensuring the highest quality work, both in the design phase (brainstorming, documentation, reviews) and in the implementation (code review, profiling, testing)
• Participation in the full SW development cycle in a professional environment: development, code reviews, unit testing, simulation, deploying on cloud servers, testing with real drones
• Opportunity to go onsite to see the system in action at our clients and experience the impact of your work

What you bring

• Background in computer engineering or computer science with a strong academic record and a demonstrated ability to convert theory into practice
• Very good C++ knowledge and experience from projects is a must
• Python knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud backend technologies is a plus
• In-depth understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Creative approach to problem-solving
• Excellent team and communication skills
• Good English skills, written and spoken
