Your ‘day to day’
As a Capacity Planning Manager, you will Lead, design and implement internal capacity planning processes to best use internal capacity of Testing Laboratories & Governance (TL&G) labs to cover demand from our clients: gather short-term testing requests and ensure an optimized organization and scheduling of the activities, based on actual capacity in the labs. Furthermore, you will define KPI and closely monitor process performance and benchmark current processes with industry standards & systems in order to continuously drive improvement in Capacity Planning processes and tools.
More specifically, you will:
  • Foster a strong collaboration with Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) within TL&G, Central and Decentralized laboratories and PMI RRP partners to ensure that relevant analytical requests are timely submitted and processed by Planning Capacity team and to efficiently schedule and execute testing request in order to provide fast and high-quality service to internal customers.
  • Provide Laboratory Systems with user requirement and ensure that tools are properly selected and configured to best support the designed planning and scheduling processes.
  • Establish workaround with the appropriate support when tools don’t fully support the designed processes. This includes to ensure implementation of those tools across TL&G to guarantee a comprehensive visibility of demand vs capacity.
  • Interact with Forecast Lead to drive an integrated forecast planning process ensuring alignment between forecasted volume and actual demand to identify potential bottleneck and mid/long-term solutions.
  • Coordinate with the External Laboratory team the outsourcing of samples when internal capacity is exceeded.
  • Develop a motivated, skilled and optimally resourced team to ensure a fast and high-quality service.


Who we’re looking for:
  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in a similar position within manufacturing, supply chain or laboratory environment.
  • Experience in the laboratory environment would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated and relevant experience in high priority setting.
  • Action oriented with the ability to deal with ambiguity and opposite priority.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, solid interpersonal mindset as well as proven managerial and leadership skills.
  • Experience in quality systems and database management (LIMS) with sound expertise in ISO 17025.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively both with various stakeholders in a matrix organization and ability to foster a strong collaborative culture.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), French would be beneficial.
