Our Career Start Program offers an ideal platform for graduates who want to experience life at the heart of the financial services industry. You start your main assignment in your business area and rotate to another department for 4-6 months so you can experience different positions, gain insight into a broad spectrum of roles, build new skills and develop crucial networks across the bank. The program offers a combination of practical experience, shadowing days, structured on- and off-the-job training, stimulating challenges and evaluation activities. You benefit from the opportunity to seamlessly transfer to an exciting junior position after your Career Start Program.

Duration:12-18 months
Academic requirements:Recently completed Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree from a university or university of applied sciences, ideally in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any quantitative subject

Your field of responsibility
Understand the various concept of interest rate risk measurement and integrate them into a holistic reporting. Analysis and provide insights into observed movements by leveraging existing management reports or introduce new analytics. Raise data limitations and coverage gaps and work closely with respective teams to report these issues and eventually get them resolved.

  • A unique role in which you will be involved in change and business-as-usual activities related to measuring Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB) using Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) software
  • Deepen and improve your risk knowledge, with a focus on market risk, and to become an expert in an area under strong regulatory focus
  • A chance to build up strong and extensive internal network
  • Work environment where you will be able to build and manage relationships with key partners within ALM & Treasury Risk Management and work in tandem to understand the latest business challenges and regulatory developments
  • Understand and analyze the Balance Sheet of Credit Suisse including the underlying economic factors, products and risk measures
  • You will contribute to a project with major regulatory and senior management focus, and have an opportunity to extend knowledge on risk management and project work.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Recently completed Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree from a university or university of applied sciences, ideally in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any quantitative subject
  • The ability to think analytically and flexibly, with a technological and solution-focused mindset
  • Interest in data science and big data management, SQL, VBA or Python considered as a plus
  • Willingness to collaborate with different stakeholders and also to work independently on your own initiative
  • Fluency in English and German is a plus
  • You are an independent thinker and self-starter willing to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment
  • Commitment to service alongside effective communication skills and a keen attention to details
  • Willingness to take on responsibility as an effective team member
