As Category Development Manager, you will be the expert in promotion execution of the chocolate category for the full Swiss market. Externally, you will consult our customers on perfect execution and promotional mix. Internally, you are the voice of customer and Key Account to our Brand Marketing Team.

A Day in the Life of a Category Development Manager

  • Ensure optimal promotion execution (display, sales material, instore activities, customer tools) across all channels
  • Give recommendation on promotion execution strategy per category and channel by leveraging the best working promotion mechanisms per channel also identify new promising channels for category development
  • Analyze understanding and vision of shoppers’ buying decisions within the store and give recommendations based on the analysis
  • Lead the field force conference from the business unit chocolate side
  • Define and implement a perfect store vision for each channel/customer and feedback needs to accomplish perfect store vision with Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing also feedback customer needs to Brand Marketing for product development
  • Be responsible for the full execution budget allocation and implementation
  • Accompany Key Account Managers to customer meetings as an expert for the category and channel vis-à-vis customer counterpart
  • Lead, motivate and hire the category intern

What Will Make You Successful
  • 2-3 years’ experience in category management, sales or trade marketing
  • Entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset
  • Project Management skills
  • French, German and English (1 language at C1, two languages on B2 level)
