The role of the Category Manager Supply Chain is to develop, plan and implement the procurement and logistics strategy for an assigned category or group of categories, with a focus on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability. This includes the lead of cross-divisional projects and initiatives. Reporting to the Global Head of Direct Material Sourcing, you will ensure execution in accordance with instructions and procedures from the company, the Procurement & Logistics function, and supply base management.

Your responsibilities

• Lead SCM contribution in product development & ramp up projects
• Lead strategic projects & initiatives within SCM organization
• Take over 3D-Printing Category: Drive Category Strategy definition and implementation
• Global benchmarking / Footprint analysis / Supply and value chain analysis
• Drive saving initiatives together with Product Groups
• Run KPI and Master-Data Analysis
• Supplier Key Performance improvement (On Time Delivery, Leadtime, Quality, Costs)

Your background

• Master Degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical or similar)
• Technical background and commercial understanding and thinking
• Experience in supply chain/procurement in an international environment
• Project Management experiences in an international context
• Sound knowledge of master data structures and forecasting activities is a plus
• Good negotiation skills
• A collaborative and solution-focused approach as well as strong communication skills
• Professional experience as Category Manager is an advantage
• Ambition to lead teams
• Fluency in English, German is an asset
• Willingness to travel
