In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by having the ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, while ensuring quality and accuracy. A typical day will include:

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Support a Global Best in Class, Collaborative, Agile and Real-Time Regional and Differentiated distribution network delivering a “Unique Customer and Patient Experience”
  • Driving an ambitious roadmap to operationally deploy an end-to-end demand fulfillment and distribution network.
  • Supporting the launch of Alofisel® taking an active role within the project Launch teams to accompany LOCs and the manufacturing unit.
  • Managing order-taking, invoicing and delivery orders from Treatment Centers primarily in EU within tight time-frames using a very innovative digital and collaborative cloud platform
  • Coordinate CCC coordinators to deliver a high service level

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Operations

Working in a team environment,

  • Managing day-to-day transactions towards treatment centers worldwide (primarily in Europe, Canada & Israel) to ensure uninterrupted supplies from Alofisel®’s manufacturing organization (make-to-order set-up)
  • Collaborating with Takeda’s Sales & Marketing and manufacturing unit organizations to actively support and develop the product strategy as well as to measure and continuously improve customer satisfaction and Patient experience.
  • Maintaining and developing sustainable processes and procedures (e.g. digital order to billing and collaborative platform, logistic network oversight)
  • Drive and maintain a high service level CSLe OTIF
  • Support & backup the Customer Care and Logistics Operations Lead on:
    • Sustain GDP compliance and support Internal/External quality Audits
    • Support SOX audit, working closely with Finance and internal/external auditors to ensure order-to-cash processes are performed in accordance with JSOX rules, Takeda procedures, work instructions in order to maintain full compliance to regulation
    • Actively Participate S&OP meetings with LOCs and Plants when relevant
  • Review and assess optimal shipping methods, together with Transportation teams, designing shipping processes that meets customers’, Quality/compliance, and costs requirements

Systems & Projects

  • Act as BPO on Leonardo platform processes and functionalities design, deployment and training (e.g. digital order to billing and collaborative platform, logistic network oversight)
  • Lead/Support projects and system developments as required

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Very strong understanding of logistics & transportation processes, especially in cell therapy / pharmaceutical markets
  • Very good understanding of Manufacturing units/OpUs and commercial processes & procedures
  • Very good understanding of GDP requirements in cell therapy environment at customer level (GDP: Good Distribution Practices)
  • Very good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP, BI,...)
  • Very strong business acumen

Leadership

  • Ability to operate cross functionally, working with Operating Units (OpUs), commercial business units, Global Quality and business partner functions (procurement, finance, IT, legal, …)
  • Ability to manage, influence and adapt changes

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Agile, resourceful and proactive engagement with a problem-solving focus
  • Very strong capabilities to analyze issues and propose solutions based upon business acumen
  • Very strong capabilities to escalate and solve issues with internal and external stakeholders

Interaction

  • Treatment centers: escalate, solve issues and deviations, support alignment on requirements
  • ISIT: partner with IT department to develop a customized order management platform
  • GDP QUALITY:escalate, solve issues and deviations, support alignment on requirements
  • LOCs / manufacturing units / OpUs: support transportation & distribution processes harmonization
  • Suppliers /Procurement: interact daily on operations
  • A member of regional committees and regional projects team on product launches, suppliers performance reviews

  • Support deployment of innovative ways of improving Patients experience via collaborative tools

Complexity

  • Capability to resolve logistics issues and deep understanding of how to drive decision making within a regional matrix organization
  • Strong stakeholders management and communication skill

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • A high-energy persona with a talent for communicating, collaborating, creating and motivating
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from a Customer Service Management or Demand Management including order-to-billing, transportation and channel management within the pharmaceutical industry ideally Biotech or Regenerative Medicine company.
  • An experienced track-record and related functional expertise in SAP and some of its modules (MM, SD, APO DP and Supply Network Planning SNP)
  • Grasp and understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry from a business and regulatory perspective (e.g. Good Distribution Practice Guidelines)
  • Written and oral fluency in English as well as another major European language (e.g. German, Spanish, French or Italian).

Preferably

  • A proven Lean / Six-Sigma mindset
  • Comprehension and awareness of key accounting and financial principles and regulations
