Chemical Process Engineer –
Your next role?


As Chemical Process Engineeryou will join our Ingredients production site in Vernier, you will report to a Production Manager and you will support Production Units Manager by focusing on daily production activities and ensure manufacturing processes and procedures for fragrance ingredients are following SOPs, safety and quality requirements.

In this exciting opportunity you will be in charge of the following responsibilities:


  • Ensure proper deployment of manufacturing processes in the production units
  • Follow quality, yields and productivities, records deviation
  • Improve efficiency in consumption of energies
  • Support intra site transfer of manufacturing processes
  • Support project managers in the coordination of production transfer or implementation of novel ingredients
  • Manage focus technical projects for novel ingredients, in cooperation with Industrialization / Engineering & Maintenance teams
  • Identify, propose, prioritize, implement improvement actions
  • Follow and implement actions raised by process safety analysis
  • Follow and implement actions raised by EHS or Quality gap assessments
  • Prepare and/or correct SOPs in the area of responsibilities
  • Development of process flow diagrams and PID diagrams
  • Apply continuous improvement skills and tools
  • Support the management of change

Your success profile includes:


  • Master in Chemistry / chemical engineering degree from a university or applied sciences institute or related discipline.
  • Skills in experimental chemistry and process engineering
  • Skills in continuous improvement (DMAIC, SixSigma)
  • Knowledge in fundamentals of Process Safety
  • Knowledge in chemical engineering (reaction kinetics, reactor heat and mass balance)
  • Knowledge of chemical product specifications and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP)
  • Fluency (oral, written) in French and English
