As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities►Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the multi-disciplinary team to design, develop, certify and support the Airframe Structures►Develop and perform overall technical planning and provide airworthiness verification support►Support resolution of technical problems that would affect cost, schedule and aircraft system performance►Work closely with engineering leadership and other subjects matter experts for the review and approval of engineering design solutions►Organize, lead and report to Head of Design Organisation for technical design reviews►Support the development of technical and product roadmaps►Facilitate the continuous improvement of a rapid-turn design-to-specification process►Responsible for the compliance and implementation of the legal aviation requirements►Responsibility to stay in overall project schedule, including the budget controlling and project reporting►Support the management of vendors and suppliers where neededYour Qualifications And Experience►Degree in Aeronautical engineering or equivalent►Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace or equivalent industry►Minimum 5 years in Airframe Structures Design and Development►Fluent in English, verbal and written (C1)►Intercultural competency►Proven Leadership Skills And ExperienceOur offerWe are offering a stimulating/interesting/exciting/unique job opportunity in an entrepreneurial environment with room to grow in every dimensionYour next stepPlease send your complete application documents in English.Should you have any questions, please contact us atDepartment of Engineering located in CH-8620 WetzikonTo apply for this job please please complete the following form .
