MAIN PURPOSE


The Chief Finance Officer will have both a day-to-day and strategic ongoing impact on company operations, including analyzing, strategising, and growing brand equity and the Maison’s financial position. As part of the Executive Committee, the CFO will contribute to the overall vision and strategic development of the Maison, provide CEO and their peers with advice on primarily the financial implications of business activities and represent the Maison in the Richemont finance community.


YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy and Planning

  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of organisation with regard to long-term strategic and operational goals, mid-term strategic planning scenarios, budgets and forecasts
  • Provide insights and recommendations relevant to the Maison’s short-term and long-term growth plans and organisational structures
  • Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings
  • Identify, acquire and implement processes, systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information
  • Create and establish mid-term and annual financial objectives and lead discussions with fellow EXCO members on achievement of the underlying business drivers therein.

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Drive processes for financial scenario planning, forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting
  • Ensure periodic financial reports are delivered to relevant Maison teams and Group Finance, including actual monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget and cash flow
  • Review and analyse monthly financial results and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain monthly operating budget, annual company operating budget and mid-term scenario planning

Accounting and Operations / Internal Audit

  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures, in close conjunction with Group Finance
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data
  • Oversee the month-end close process, regularly reviewing procedures to eliminating inefficiencies while maintaining controls
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
  • Serve as a key Maison point of contact for internal and external auditors, drive preparation and support of all external and internal audits
  • Lead the supervision of inventories (stocks, fixed assets) and reconciliations of such assets
  • Guarantee the respect of the fiscal agreements / Create and develop relationship with auditors, and other related parties

Financial Management

  • Manage cash flow planning process
  • Maintain outstanding strategic alliances with vendors and business partners
  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship, a close cooperation as well as a constant exchange with Group

Finance Functions on all above topics


Security Management & Infrastructure

  • Steer the security management to ensure establishment and enforcement of security & safety policies and procedures in line with Group requirements and local regulatory laws
  • Co-manage the team (together with the RDU CFO) for the coordination and implementation of all maintenance and upgrade measures of buildings, facilities, and utilities

YOUR PROFILE


  • 10+ years of related working experience and proven success as finance director/senior manager, or relevant role
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (Group accounting policies and procedures) and awareness of Swiss accounting and tax regulations
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation and commitment for the role which includes being able to get out of their comfort zone to actively learn, seek feedback and develop within the role
  • A strategic thinker, able to initiate and drive change within the organization, influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop successful, long term relationships with their stakeholders, internal and externals at all levels
  • Exceptionally well-organized, efficient, analytical, hands-on, open-minded, agile, and flexible in working in a lean organization
  • Client oriented, results driven, highly diplomatic, eager to learn and motivated in complexity and problem solving.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • A collaborative leader who can help drive consistent, high quality results while fostering a team environment of trust
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
  • French and English a must, any other language a plus
