As a Coffee Extraction Specialist, you will contribute to position our Coffee Team as the reference Green Coffee Quality and Development Unit for Nestlé & Nespresso worldwide. You will support, organize and coordinate all strategic activities related to green coffee quality, innovation, renovation, development of Nespresso products and coffee extraction.

A Day in the Life of a Coffee Extraction Specialist
- Lead the development projects of coffee extraction systems, in collaboration with machine engineers at the Nestlé System Technology Center in Orbe (OriginalLine, VertuoLine, B2B, other). Ensure the quality and compliance of the coffee in-cup
- Organize and execute product development activities such as new coffee blends (Blend Flexibility, Limited Editions,)
- Collect physical and sensorial data of coffee products, including recipes with milks
- Recipe data management (database) and data mining
- Improve processes and procedures by reviewing, developing and delivering
- Organize and participate in coffee field trials and research projects with Nestlé R&D and external research partners
- Ensure release of green coffee / green coffee tasting / quality consistency
- Support in CAPEX and OPEX follow-up activities as well as PO creation
- Project management, following agreed deadlines and deliverables with Nestlé Research and external Research Institutes
- Provide services to other units such as NN Boutiques, Coffee and Cocoa Academy, NPTC Orbe
- Keep contacts to other professional units such as NPTC Orbe, R&D Tours, NRC, etc., and suppliers
- Solution-oriented, pragmatic and flexible person, able to respect deadlines
- Food science technical engineer or Chemistry technical engineer
- Experience in Good Laboratory Practices
- Experience with coffee and/or other foodstuff development issues
- Sensory skills and competences (coffee recipe tasting). Barista experience as plus
- Fluent in French and English, Spanish as plus
