What You’ll Do In the role of Technical Solution Sales/Architect you will have full ownership and responsibility for leading the technical presales activities. Providing architectural design expertise to account teams, business entities and partners that support the company’s objectives in a fast-paced and dynamic market. You will have expertise around Cisco’s entire Collaboration Portfolio with an emphasis on the Webex SaaS solutions. You will be a technology and solutions evangelist responsible for developing winning and innovative Collaboration platform proposals in high value enterprise opportunities that incorporate both direct and indirect (partner) collaboration solutions. Help customer/partner technical sales teams craft innovative architectural solutions that drive strategic customer business objectives. Deliver demonstrations and technical proof of concepts for customers to show the value of the Cisco Collaboration portfolio. In addition to a sound knowledge of Cisco’s Collaboration technology solutions and innovation, you will possess a solid understanding of competitive solutions in the market. You’re attentive to details and always follow-up. You possess and further develop strong presentation skills whether in a small or large audience. Travel will be a requirement of this job. Escorting customers to Executive Briefing Centers, attending conferences, meeting customers in person, possible travel to Collab Business Unit locations globally.
Job Responsibilities: You will provide strong leadership, vision, and become the trusted advisor to our customers on Transforming the way people work. You will build and implement a strategy to leverage Cisco to expand the footprint of our Collaboration technologies. You will communicate to internal business entities, features, functionality and capabilities they would need to address current and future customer requirements. You will articulate and sell the value of Cisco’s integrated solution capabilities, describe and articulate how suggested customizations could address customer need, emphasizing long-term benefits and value compared with competitive best-of-breed point products/solutions. You will drive a business outcome selling approach by consulting with customers to demonstrate how Cisco’s Collaboration portfolio solutions (including Customer Care) can impact their business. You will spend a significant amount of time directly with customers – split between up front collaboration on desired solution capabilities, architecture design, integration and solution demonstration.
Who you’ll work with
In this role, you will partner with the Collaboration Sales Specialists in the segment, as well as the Account Manager/Systems Engineering teams for our sales segments, supporting our Swiss customers. You may work with other Cisco Specialist TSAs across areas such as Security and Enterprise Networking to deliver a Cisco solution for our customers. You will also engage directly with Cisco customers and partners to deliver innovations using Cisco Collaboration solutions.

Who you are You are a creative and results-driven senior presales individual. You have 5 to 7 years’ experience in a SaaS and/or Collaboration environment market. You have at least 3 years collaboration/workspace/customer care architecture experience with consulting sales experience or related field experience with customer interaction. Strong IT background (a computer science, electrical or engineering degree or proven track record of deep technical exposure). You’re able to learn and retain product and sales knowledge particularly in Cisco Collaboration, Video, Calling, Web Conferencing, Messaging, Devices and Customer Contact. MUST have excellent German and English (French is a plus) communication (written and verbal), presentation, listening, collaboration, demonstration and consulting skills. You are very familiar with SaaS, Cloud architectures, APIs and offerings of Meetings, Calling and Messaging and Devices. You have a demonstrated track record, leading significant revenue wins in the collaboration opportunities. You have an understanding of networking foundations such as Routing, Switching, Data Center and Wireless. You’ve got a strong business acumen, coupled with strong leadership skills, building effective customer relationships, creating and communicating a compelling vision for the organization and achieving significant results. Experience building value-based and consultative sales teams selling to VP and C level executives. You’re able to maintain personal organization and time management. You keep with competitive, innovative and industry knowledge/awareness. Drive, and passion to succeed in a high-speed, innovative, collaborative environment. Desirable Experience: Software/application development and programmability expertise for business and line of business automation and provisioning. Understanding SaaS Business Models and Adoption. Proficiency in the use of demo labs and demonstration capabilities (DevNet, dCloud) to effectively demonstrate solutions, code, scripting, workflows, etc.
