Since 2018 we have invested over USD 120 million, typically leading the investment rounds of our 16 portfolio companies. Its growing portfolio company achievements include 10 FDA clearances, 13 CE marks, 2 IPOs, and 5 trade exits.

For our Commercial Alliance Management team based in Lausanne we are looking for a

Commercial Alliance Manager

You will contribute to developing patients’ access to our Triptorelin products worldwide through commercial alliances and partnerships. You represent Debiopharm in the daily engagement with our partners and ensure long-term collaboration with them.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Ensure smooth operation of Triptorelin commercial alliances and partnerships ;
  • Lead day to day engagement with our partners to develop and maintain long term collaborations;
  • Establish and ensure regular communication and meetings with licensees / partners (organize, moderate, writing of minutes);
  • Ensure respect of the contractual framework by partners and internal collaborators, and propose corrective actions when necessary;
  • Liaison with partners to support line function interactions for optimal alliance relationship;
  • Represent the partner point-of-view internally in order to resolve alliance issues ;
  • Establish and apply appropriate governance in agreement with partners;
  • Analyze and monitor the commercial performance of partners with the marketing team, market intelligence and finance department;
  • Track and address issues with different departments impacting Debiopharm’s revenues;
  • Build business cases and negotiate terms and contractual clauses, with the support of the Legal and the Head of Commercial Alliances;
  • Ensure reliable and regular reporting on alliances activities to the Head of Commercial Alliances and circulate information between departments;
  • Search and select new commercial partners in available territories to extend geographic commercial coverage and ensure additional revenue generation

Requirements

  • Master or PhD (preferred) in Life Sciences, combined with further education in economics (MBA, Bachelor…)
  • At least 3-5 years industry experience in alliance management within the pharmaceutical industry
  • You are recognized for your solid negotiation skills, with a proven track record
  • You are known for your networking and relationship building capabilities
  • Very good analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, used to work effectively in a matrix environment
  • Fluency in French (oral & written) is an asset
  • Pro-activity, autonomy and flexibility
  • Diplomacy, integrity and respect for confidentiality
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • You are available to be in Lausanne (no remote setup) and available for up to 20% travel
