Purpose of the position

Provide commercial support for the Geneva based companies. Participate and assist the planning, direction, and control on third-party commercial activities affecting Eli Lilly Export. Liaise with other process owners within Export, with Country Managers, Finance Directors, and other internal functions to ensure continuous alignment and to take necessary actions to ensure commercial activities are in line with sales targets and company policies. Participate in establishing and/or changing commercial partnerships within the regions, managing projects, providing consultation and assistance to sales and finance organizations.

Provide alliance management support to the Distribution and Promotion markets recently shifted to an export business model. Be an active participant in governance meetings to provide update on key event/support required to Lilly Export management.

Provide ad-hoc support on commercial projects impacting Lilly Export.

Key elements of the Role

Essential Functions

Commercial governance – participate in governance meetings and participate in sales performance and demand forecast processes.

Pricing – review and escalate pricing requests for Lilly Export Approval and ensure they have routed through the appropriate internal reviews.

Operations – ensure adherence to Lilly IBU “Working with Distributors” policy. Set up processes, recurring meetings and provide update to Lilly Export management helping to formulate appropriate strategy/decision making.

Support on ad-hoc basis credit related activities for Distribution and Promotion markets.

Working hours – 10am-7pm (will support Latin America).

Profile

Technical Skills

  • Broad commercial and financial experience
  • Fast grasp of business issues & quick decision making
  • Excellent business understanding and proven business partnering skills
  • Solid understanding of Lilly’s business, Pharmaceutical business and International Markets
  • Advanced Computing and Applications skills including Office 365 suite and SAP.

Soft Skills

  • Highly adaptable (including working across time zone) and respectful of other culture/country differences.
  • Implement with integrity, energy and speed.
  • Strong communication skills.

Education

University degree with 5+ years of experience

Previous Experience

Required

Languages

English, French and/or Spanish.
