Reporting to the Oncology Business Unit Director, we are looking for a Commercial Operations and Alliance Lead (COAL) to help maximize the growth of our oncology portfolio in Switzerland.

This role is a core member of the Swiss Oncology Leadership Team (CHOLT) and collaborates closely with the other CHOLT members (Swiss Oncology BUD and 3 x Oncology Franchise Leads) by contributing to franchise strategy, leading our forecasting and data analytics, providing structure as required for good governance of the whole oncology business, leading our strategic alliances, and driving executional excellence throughout the BU.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following main tasks:

  • Lead MSD’s contribution to our strategic alliances; optimizing the alliance relationship, the product strategy and the forecasting for our commercial collaborations.
  • Lead the Oncology BU performance analysis strategy, Pan-Tumour strategy, forecasting process, market research and budget planning and tracking;
  • Measure, monitor and track BU key growth driver projects outside of Franchise-specific projects, e.g. Digital Roadmap, Oncology SFE dashboard, quarterly SIP-setting, and overall calendar of events for the BU;
  • Line management of a team of diverse roles including: Onco Digital Publisher, Onco Data Analyst, Onco Customer Ecosystem Manager.
  • Lead and coordinate the internal and external communications/slide deck development as required;
  • Foster agility and the application of both an enterprise mindset and a growth mindset.
  • Closely collaborate with franchise leads and other team members in the development of new innovative initiatives that will deliver on our strategic goals (e.g. Omnichannel approaches);
  • Coordinate the development of our sales training strategy and execution in close collaboration with Franchise Leads;
  • Manage oncology mature products and supply areas;
  • Ensure we use the best available data sources by collaborating with external stakeholders in the ecosystem (e.g. hospitals, health authorities, EMR providers, startups);

Qualifications:

  • Higher degree in Business, Life Sciences or another relevant discipline;
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in pharma/Biotech industry, oncology preferable;
  • Strong project execution and coordination skills: Proven track record of “getting things done”. Organized, results-oriented, and strategic thinker;
  • Ability to solve problems, create order and simplicity out of complex problems. Proven analytical capabilities, ability to set up forecast models & make robust business cases;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English required.
  • Strong communication skills in German and/or French would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated line management experience would be advantageous
