Who we are

In a life without sound, our work provides meaning. As a leading provider of innovative hearing care solutions, we are not just a company that makes products: we are a team on a mission to help people enjoy the delight of hearing. To enable a life without limitations, we – through our core business brands Phonak, Unitron, Hansaton, Advanced Bionics and AudioNova – develop, manufacture and distribute solutions that push the limits of technology and redefine the future of our industry.

Founded in 2006 by Sonova Group, the Hear the World Foundation (HTWF) supports projects around the world enabling children with hearing loss to develop appropriate to their age. The foundation focuses on projects in low- to middle-income countries which give children with hearing loss access to audiological care. To this end, the non-profit Swiss based foundation provides funding, hearing technology as well as on-site expertise to train local professionals.

The role is responsible for all communications and branding activities of the Hear the World Foundation (HTWF). It manages all channels (on- and offline), the positioning of the brand, creates visibility for the work of the Foundation internally and externally and aligns the narrative and storytelling to HTWF’s strategy.

  • Represent HTWF in all communications related matters and raise awareness and interest in HTWF’s cause by identifying, creating, and presenting relevant communications material

  • Write, edit, and produce presentations, factsheets, press releases, blog pieces, newsletters, case studies, and other external materials
  • Lead creation and execution of HTWF’s annual digital activity report and its dissemination
  • Identify and manage external engagement opportunities that support advocacy and fundraising purposes. Create campaigns and leverage external platforms to strengthen HTWF’s visibility and credibility globally
  • Manage brand positioning and development through creating engaging branding materials to strengthen HTWF’s visual identity

Your profile

  • University Degree in Communications or a related field
  • Min. 5 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in a large NGO or global foundation environment
  • Experience across multiple dimensions of communications e.g. digital communications, advocacy and engagement strategies, internal communications etc.
  • Strong team player, exceptional project management skills, enjoying to engage with stakeholders in very different functions across the organization and externally
  • Highly driven, proactive and results-driven personality with a self-starter mindset
  • Excellent personal communications, presentation, storytelling and writing skills
