As a Compliance Officer, you will be part of our Anti-Corruption and Bribery team (ACB team) which supports the development, maintenance and oversight of a best-in-class anti-corruption and bribery programme and continuously looks for ways to improve its effectiveness.The Main Tasks And Responsibilities Include
  • Leading the compliance process in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions
  • Providing advice on and negotiating compliance clauses in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions documentation
  • Reporting to the Global Head of Anti-Corruption and Bribery and acting as an escalation point
  • Exposure to other business functions with a compliance nexus, including Sustainability and Human Rights
  • Developing and shaping your existing skills within a dynamic organisation that encourages independent thought
  • Working on the implementation and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, tools, and systems controls
  • Developing and providing compliance training to the business and Compliance team members globally
  • Monitoring and analysing regulatory changes/updates from various authorities
The ideal candidate
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a true team player with a high level of trust and integrity
  • Experienced in managing a team and interacting with various stakeholders
  • Organised with strong planning skills, attention to detail and solutions-oriented
  • Driven by a desire to enact change
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Minimum 2:1 degree from a top tier university
  • At least 6 years of experience as a qualified lawyer
  • Experience in the following areas would be desirable but not essential:
    • JV/M&A including the compliance due diligence process, acquisition, and integration
    • ACB advisory experience in disputes / investigations
  • Fluent in English; other language skills would be a bonus, but not essential
  • Experience in working in an exciting and fast changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Holder of a Swiss work permit or CH / EU passport holder
