Compliance OfficerCorporate Compliance - Training, Awareness and PoliciesBaar, SwitzerlandWe are looking for a motivated Compliance Officer, with a compliance and/or legal background, to join our Corporate Compliance Training, Awareness and Policies team at our headquarters in Baar.Main tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Develop, customise and refresh digital and in-person compliance trainings, in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and/or external vendors, ensuring content is tailored to Glencore’s business and to the relevant audience, and reflecting learning best practices.
  • Project manage various training and awareness projects, acting as a main point of contact between external vendors and Subject Matter Experts, monitoring project progress, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met and facilitating issue resolution.
  • Develop, deploy and evaluate results of training effectiveness surveys and implement feedback received.
  • Develop annual Board of Directors compliance training.
  • Deliver training to new employees on ethics and compliance expectations at Glencore.
  • Develop, review and refresh compliance awareness materials.
  • Develop quarterly Compliance Programme update presentations for Board of Directors and Executive Management.
  • Organise and develop/review agendas and presentations for large ethics and compliance events (e.g. Ethics and Compliance Days, Compliance Summit, Group Compliance meetings, Lunch and Learn sessions).
  • Draft new and refresh/review existing Compliance and other Group function policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and manuals.
  • Support the review and development of annual publications like the Ethics and Compliance Report and the ethics and compliance section of the Annual Report.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the effectiveness of our training and awareness offerings to compliance and business personnel.
  • Participate in the annual planning of training and awareness activities.

Qualifications and requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience working in compliance and/or legal (and preferably with experience in compliance training and policy development)
  • A solid understanding of compliance risks such as bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, sanctions, data protection, anti-trust and whistleblowing
  • Excellent project management skills and proven experience managing large-scale projects with various stakeholders
  • Excellent writing and drafting skills and the ability to break down and articulate technical or legalistic content in a concise and simple manner which is understandable to employees
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (native or C2 level)
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (especially PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project)
  • Holder of a Swiss work permit or CH / EU passport holder
