Responsibilities
  • In this position you will validate and release engine components and sub-systems for the combustion engines assigned to you according to the validation plan
  • Your scope of responsibility covers milestones like functional development, component and endurance testing as well as defining limit values for usage and set maintenance intervals
  • You will be in charge of monitoring and reporting component validation activities of the engine(s) in close collaboration with the Project Managers
  • The right and proper documentation during validation is part of your daily job. The synthesis of results, written final documentation (R&D reports) and technical releases are major outputs of your work
  • You will contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of work processes such as test planning, assembly planning, evaluation, programs, filing and documentation
  • You will cooperate closely with internal partners like simulation and design department and application engineering, further you maintain and create relationships with external development partners and component suppliers
  • You ensure that the agreed development goals in terms of requirement & function specifications are met

Competencies
  • You have successfully completed your studies in the field of mechanical engineering (m/f/x) or an equivalent degree
  • You can present at least 2 years of professional experience in the field of combustion engine development, preferably in mechanical development, endurance testing as well as engine & component validation within an international environment
  • Additionally, you have acquired in-depth knowledge of the current technologies combustion engine development and a profound understanding of component validation
  • You possess fluent proficiency in English, good knowledge in French and German is desirable
  • Your personality is characterized by a sense of responsibility, resilience, team spirit and flexibility as well as a deep interest in analytical reliability methods
