Collège du Léman is one of Switzerland’s most prestigious international day and boarding schools, located on the edge of Lake Geneva in view of the Swiss Alps.

The school helps students to find their place in the world by inspiring individual growth, academic excellence, and global citizenship.

It is a truly international community with more than 140 different nationalities among the 2000 day and 200 boarding students. They come together on a green, village-like campus covering 8 hectares.

Main purpose of the role

The Residential Activity Leader Computer Programming overseas students from all over the world between the ages of 8 and 18 years. The responsibilities are to create and lead Computer programming activities for students in the mornings and to supervise other activities and animations according to the established planning during the afternoons. The Residential Activity Leader will be residing on campus in shared accommodations and responsible for the care of the students in that villa overnight.

Key responsibilities

· Welcoming and monitoring children from 8 to 18 years

· Accompanying and supervising children all day, afternoon, and evening

· Entertaining by leading hands-on and/or sports activities

· Organizing games, workshops, and shows

· Ensuring the safety of children during all trips in or out of the Summer Camp

· Being responsible for children’s hygiene and safety

· Ensuring compliance with health and safety rules of Collège du Léman and respecting the material and the areas.

Skills and Competencies

· Experience working with children and teens is mandatory

· Experience in teaching and developing Computer Programming activities for students

· Sports oriented (to participate in various sporting and hiking activities arranged for the children)

· Ability to reassure children and parents

· Languages required: English and French (Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic is a plus)

· Good interpersonal skills

· Works well under pressure

· Motivated, dynamic, flexible, professional, organized, and creative

· Ability to work in a team environment is vital

Conditions

The summer camp is planned over 3 sessions from July 3rd to August 13th, 2022.

Dates:

· Training period: 30.06.2022-02.07.2022

· Session 1: 03.07-16.07.2022

· Session 2: 17.07-30.07.2022

· Session 3: 31.07-13.08.2022

Please note that the preference will be given to candidates available to work several sessions.

The salary is CHF2,200. -per session.
