Role profileAs part of the Capital Project Support team you will provide our clients with your expertise as a Biodiversity Specialist. Your assignments will be supported by our senior team members as you contribute to a combination of impact assessments, critical habitat assessments, biodiversity monitoring, offsetting strategies and nature positive plans. You will work on international projects principally across EMEA, but also likely support projects elsewhere underway by our global teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level professional looking to advance their career in the ever-growing and ever-important biodiversity sector.Main responsibilities
  • With appropriate guidance and supervision collaborate to carry out a range of studies to international performance standards and guidelines to support our clients and projects
  • Provide technical inputs and skills in biodiversity matters in line with our health and safety requirements in accordance with ERM’s safety culture
  • Perform project delivery activities such as scoping, baseline data collection quality, managing sub-consultants, and report writing
  • Support the preparation of proposals, including development of technical scopes and cost estimates
The ideal candidate
  • Have a science degree, although other relevant degrees and experiences will be considered
  • Circa 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant – team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and client service-oriented mentality
  • Strong communication and organisational skills including the ability to work in English and, if possible, other widely spoken languages
  • Able to do circa 20% travel
