Are you looking to expand your expertise in Project Managementand drive change in an environment that allows you to design novel approaches and solutions? If so, this Principal Project Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As a Principal Project Managerwithin GSK, you will lead site Innovation, Value Engineering and Site Transfer projects within the Nyon Manufacturing site, and lead efforts to drive project management processes through the site functions

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership of site Innovation, Value Engineering and Site Transfer projects within the Nyon Manufacturing site
  • Execute with speed to market by providing structure, fast project initiation, planning and coordinated execution thus enabling delivery of innovation/VE/Transfers in the fastest, most robust way possible.
  • Play a leadership role in site and category teams, alongside Technical, Analytical, Regulatory, Supply Chain and R&D functional leaders. Facilitate core team interactions to ensure achievement of short- and long-term objectives such as timely decision making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to established project governance processes, proper tracking and progress, contingency planning and execution plus issue resolution.
  • Assist project teams to define objectives, strategy, resources, costs and schedule to ensure flawless product development & launch. Ensure changes to the project deliverables are clearly communicated & approved via the project portfolio management governance process.
  • Develop & maintain project timelines by integration of functional and local market timing plans. Use of plan to identify & track all key project milestones for appropriate metrics.
  • Contribute fully to a climate for success in project teams: foster enthusiasm and teamwork, build relationships, reward and celebrate achievements.
  • Ensure appropriate project team structure is utilized to ensure appropriate focus on functional project activities & clear coordination & communication of strategic issues across site, R&D, analytical, regulatory & Supply Chain interfaces & with project sponsors.
  • Resolve project related conflicts through skilled negotiation, tact and diplomacy; where necessary becoming involved.
  • Conduct project reviews post key project stages and share learnings for future projects as best practice. Ensure feedback on End to End is captured and auctioned.
  • Manage projects budget
  • Provide Projects governance
  • Maintain projects tracking in MS Project Server

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Nutrition or related science fields
  • Fluent in English and good working knowledge of French
  • Experience in Project Management, Supply Chain or R&D with multi-dimensional management experience in a consumer healthcare environment or related area
  • Proven delivery of effective project management across a range of project types and complexities. Has held project management and/or leadership positions in organizations of comparable size

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Nutrition or related science
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage execution tactically and think two levels up in the organization
  • Comfortable operating in situations characterized by complexity, ambiguity and high levels of uncertainty
  • An ability to map out and understand complex, highly interdependent issues - to distill simplicity and elegant solutions
  • Understanding of all the key business processes and functions within a transnational healthcare company
  • Negotiation skills and ability to influence with or without authority at a levels above and below own grade level
