Controlling & Planning Specialist (80 - 100%)

As a Controlling and Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in financial control within the Distribution Solution Division, in Baden/Switzerland, examining financial results, coordinating the preparation of performance reports and commenting on financial statements for the local and global management. Reporting to the local division controller, you will provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results and forecasts in order to assist business leaders and stakeholders, helping to evaluate the impact of major decisions. This position is graded as 13.

Your responsibilities

  • Fully replace a senior controlling specialist during a period of 6-8 months
  • Driving and executing month-end closing, reporting & analysis activities
  • First-line support to local business leaders in all operational controlling matters
  • Oversee and execute internal control activities for the unit
  • Cost center and project controlling / project reviews
  • Supporting the implementation of standardized processes and tools in support of financial planning activities
  • Working with key members of the business to identify areas for improvement and to propose corrective actions and cost-saving initiatives

Your background

  • 2-5 years of experience in an accounting or controlling role (experience in project controlling and internal control is an advantage)
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Business Warehouse)
  • Outstanding attention to accuracy
  • Ability and desire to quickly understand complex contexts and processes
  • Ability to work both independently and as a strong team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • A master’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • Fluency in German and English
