Job Description

Dow is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager HR and I&D to join our EMEAI team. The manager will partner with global Public Affairs colleagues and EMEAI leaders in Human Resources (HR) and Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) to reinforce and advance Dow’s strategy in both areas. Through strategic, multi-channel and integrated communications support, the successful candidate will support a variety of internal and/or external work streams and focus areas. These include, among others,
  • Total Rewards - the combination of pay, benefits and other Company-sponsored programs designed to "reward" employees for the contributions they make to Dow’s success.
  • Working in close collaboration with HR leaders to support the labor relations process with effective communications.
  • Employer branding, liaising with the EMEAI Talent Attraction team and geographic PA teams to ensuring consistency and best practice sharing across the region.
  • Building Dow’s reputation externally as the most inclusive materials science company in the world.
  • Development programs aimed at specific subsets of the organization.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Develops and supports senior-level EMEAI communications for targeted internal and external stakeholders.
  • Researches, plans, maintains, and implements communications programs that enhance the organization’s relations with employees, and Dow’s broader community of stakeholders.
  • Develops internal and external HR & I&D related communications for Dow leaders and manages related projects and events.
  • Provides change communications support for larger regional/global projects.
  • Collaborates with HR leadership to ensure transparent and effective communications with employee representative bodies.
  • Maintains oversight of Public Affairs-driven Employer Branding activities across the region, fostering strong working relationships and coordination with both the HR talent acquisition organization and the geographic communication teams.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6-10 years of related professional experience in HR Communications, HR Marketing, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications or Marketing Communications.
  • Very good written communication and speaking skills; proficient in English and at least one additional European language (Dutch, French, German, Italian or Spanish) both written and spoken.
  • Leadership presence – ability to collaborate with a wide variety of colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects under time constraints; experience in issues management and crisis communications in a multi-national organization is desirable.
  • Understanding of the EU approach in employee representation and experience in change communications is a plus.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of cross-functional and cross-channel communications projects.
Note:
  • This role can be co-located with an existing communications team at several of Dow’s European locations.
