Corporate Strategy Analyst

As Corporate Strategy Analyst, your role is to monitor the market where u-blox is active and investigate strategic areas for future growth. The role forms a bridge between several departments and functions, aligning on market insights and mega trends, competition activity and macro-economic tendencies.

You perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify and assess industry trends that could impact our position in the market, and the financial performance of competing companies.
We are a small team working on diverse tasks, both individual and as a team. You are a self-motivated person who enjoy teamwork and managing many different interfaces.

The role can be located in any existing u-blox location

Your Responsibilities

• Market and competitor analysis
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative market analysis by synthesizing a wide range of information sources such as market reports and existing customer data
  • Research competitors and compile data for benchmarking
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text for use internal in the organization

• Investigate new growth opportunities. Specifically:
  • Identify applications, markets and megatrends relevant for u-blox
  • Highlight current technical limitations that need to be overcome to be successful
  • Spot developing places in the value chain where u-blox can play
  • Recognize and study new technological trends

Your Skills and Experience

• MSc/BSc degree in electrical engineering (focus on telecommunication and wireless technologies, covering both hardware and software)
• MBA or any other degree in economics is an asset
• Broad business knowledge with min.5 year’s working experience in related industry
• min 3 years of marketing and strategy management experience in technology companies
• Strong analytical capability
• Structured thinking and way of working
• Corporate Finance knowledge is an asset
• Well self-managed, pro-active and highly organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), other languages are an asset
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Valid work permit
