Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a Contracts and Commercial team in the effective delivery and administration of all aspects of Costs, Contracts and reporting.
- Ensure that appropriate Project Contract Strategies and plans are prepared, reviewed and approved for all projects in a timely manner.
- Execute Project Cost & Contract deliverables within an agreed schedule, agreed hours and to an acceptable Quality.
- Ensure compliance with all approved procedures.
- Assist in establishing appropriate Contract types and Contract forms.
- Assist with the generation of appropriate and accurate contract schedules, budgets and contract forecasts for all projects.
- Provide all necessary information required to successfully administer project contracts.
- Providing all necessary information required to manage and forecast project outcomes in relation to Costs, and Contracts including proactive Change Management.
- Effectively support the finalisation of Budget and Contracting Plans.
- Lead Contracts and Commercial Lean initiatives both within the department and on client projects.
Candidate Experience
- Ideally candidates should have a third-level qualification in the relevant discipline and typically relevant years’ procurement/cost controls experience.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design office or equivalent client engineering team.
- Knowledge of auditing, budgeting, estimating, and forecasting.
- Experience in Contracting and Procurement for the pharmaceutical or a related industry is essential.
- Knowledge of lean working practices.
- Ability to work in a in fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Self-starter capable of working on own with minimal supervision and capable of supervising direct reports.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Computer literate
